Hello folks.
If you are reading this blog...then you know me. So I created this with the goal of saving myself some headache, some cell phone minutes, and a ton of effort by consolidating "stories" and "information" about my experiences away from everyone reading this.

So lets start off with this past week. I departed home on 11 Feb 2009. On the way home I stopped off at the Hinsdale Oasis to meet up with my former college roommate Tony. He was in the Air Force once upon a time and offered me some last minute advice (and mainly signed off my log book from my last flight).
Continued on to Champaign where I met my buddies JR and Libby for lunch and then digestion. Ended up staying the night Diersburg, Tennessee. Big shout out goes to Brian for helping me find a hotel room. There was some type of natural disaster, ice storm, going on so all the locals were living in hotel rooms due to lack of power. Slackers.

Got back on the road and plowed on through to my final destination (repetitive?). Arrived at Columbus after some fun in town...aka: getting lost. Was only about 1500 so it was still bright out. The road to the gate is unmistakable, with a full sized T-37 Tweet on a pillar and a rather large base sign.
Easily enough made my way to the Magnolia Inn, the base hotel, to curl up for the night.

Woke up early enough. Pieced together my uniform, BDUs, and met up with my buddy Jared and we checked in. Got a nice little check list of things to do. More on that later.
